Can a Muzzle Help Avoid Laminitis?

. What brings on laminitis in the first place? This is a complicated problem but if a horse is allowed to eat too much rich grain or grass, the bacteria in his intestines will be affected unfavorably. Bacterial poison will enter his bloodstream and cause laminitis.

While there are many factors involved with laminitis, also called founder, one might consider a humane muzzle shown in our store under Equine Products or Miniature Horse Products to help with overgrazing. This allows the horse better management with  less restriction on his turnout time with his pasture mates.
