Paul & Flo Enjoying the Chautauqua Sleigh Rally at Chautauqua Institution on Chautauqua Lake, NY
There are numerous Driving Shows throughout the country. A few we have had the pleasure of attending are the NYS Miniature Horse Club and the Empire State Miniature Horse Club shows.
The Driving Society also has shows and driving is popular at fairs and parades. I really enjoyed driving at the NYS Fair with it's huge arena, bringing back fond memories of my children showing their 4-H Arabian, Quarter Horse and Pony there.
Then for some, showing their prize show horses at the National AMHA or AMHR Horse Shows. And then we have the local Parades, fun for everyone, especially when you hear a spectators comment: I want one of those, and a grandaughters comment riding in the cart: I'm so proud Grandma.
And nothing compares to driving on the trails on a beautiful day! So you see, there is something for everyone!
Note: Minis may be small but they are strong and fast, capable of pulling twice their weight with a driving cart, are quick to learn, highly intelligent and eager to please. They can do most of the disciplines that the big horses do only in a different way sometimes.
So if you're intimidated by the larger horses, give the Minis & Ponies a try! You'll be glad you did! Check Our Driving Carts For Horses, Minis and Ponies We have a great Liverpool Driving Bit for Minis ON SALE NOW!
